To the future...

Lindsey and I both have the travel bug in us.  And I think I can safely say that no matter how much traveling we do, we'll never get rid of it.  I mean, I just arrived back home from Japan 4 days ago and I already can't wait for the next time I hop onto a plane.  Linds and I were talking tonight about trips and where we'd want to go and it brought me back to another conversation we had when we were hiking in Calgary... Some of the places we want to go to would be better for us to go to while we're younger, compared to others that can wait since we can enjoy it to the full extent at whatever age.

I'm the type of individual that will go anywhere and see/experience anything since that's exactly what it is, experience.  It's the life experience that no one can take away from you, it's the self fulfillment you achieve by being able to take a grasp at how different cultures live, how different countries run.  It makes you appreciate everything you have that much more.  I've told Lindsey a few times before that while we may have crummy days, our days are still way, way better than others.  We come home to a roof over our heads, and food in the fridge.  Something which many people do not have the luxury of having.

This list, assuming I remember, will be updated as time goes by, we'll cross out the places we've visited (and probably re-add them since we loved them so much) and add new places we think of going.

Short Term (Now - 5 years)
Las Vegas (Probably be a regular thing)
Hawaii (Know this will be a regular thing)
Australia (Honeymoon??)
Thailand (Lantern Festival)
Japan
Disneyland (Disneyworld??)

Medium Term (5 - 25 years)
Africa
Alaska
Dubai
India
Bora Bora
Philippines
China
Russia
Hong Kong
Maldives

Long Term (Age 60+)
Europe (Though I know we'll hit this before then)

It's a start.  I know it will be added to as we find new places to go to.  The world is our oyster as they say.  I know that Linds has the same mentality as myself and wants to experience the world and different cultures.  Now the real question is whether I can handle being on a plane with her for 10+ hours, or maybe vice versa?

All I know is that if are indeed able to fulfill some of these trips then I'll be adding on Bose QC15 headphones to her birthday idea list I have going.. :P

Here's to strange food, trips around the world, and life changing experiences!
